Saving Public Radio

One fascinating characteristic about St. Louis is the access we have to leaders in the community. Any conversation is within reach, and that makes it our responsibility to have them. Recently, our team was distraught by the talk in Washington to defund the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanitie (NEH) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). All of which could severely damage NPR, PBS, local stations and mor.

Did you now that the arts and humanities sector is a $704 billion industry, accounting for 4.2 percent of our GDP? Digging into this topic, we've co-organized a "Thought Salon" this Thursday evening featuring Tim Eb, eneral Manager St. Louis Public Radio nd John Bart, Chief Content Officer of PRX. These two will iscuss Keeping Public Broadcasting Alive, and what you can do to help. We will gather at Selkirk Auction house on McPherson and enjoy light refreshments from 7:30p - 8:30p. An RSVP link may be found here.

We will continue having conversations with local leaders in arts and culture, and invite you to nominate an idea thats brewing. These discussions will be hosted at various venues in the neighborhood. Thank you and have a great week!
